Building a city, abridged
Make sure the data is properly
georeferenced before importing it. For WCS, this will mean having
the latitude and longitude of a reference point in your vector
file. You can place buildings as 3D Objects (same object is cloned
on each vertex of the Vector) or Foliage Effect (WCS will randomly
pick objects to place on each vertex from the objects in each
foliage group). For distant views, you can drape an aerial photograph
of the city with a Color Map. The best approach (or combination
of approaches) depends on proximity and angle of the camera and
what data you have available. |
